OVERVIEW

This project is a spec advertisement created for KARMA8A,

a climbing and bouldering brand, combining my passion

for bouldering with my interest in motion design and

visual storytelling. From the initial concept to the

final render, I explored multiple creative directions

while staying true to a clear artistic vision rooted in

movement, strength, and rhythm.

The project became an opportunity to experiment with

a hybrid workflow, blending 3D and 2D techniques to

achieve a dynamic and expressive visual language.

I used Cinema 4D for modelling, look development, and

animation, and incorporated frame-by-frame illustrations

created in Procreate to add texture, energy,

and a handcrafted feel.

This personal yet commercial-driven piece allowed me

to push my visual style into a more brand-focused direction

while maintaining an emotional connection to the

subject matter, resulting in a spec ad that feels both

experimental and authentic.

About the project

The goal of this project was to create a spec advertisement that translates the world of climbing (carabiner. chalk, climbing holds, ropes) into motion design.

I aimed to develop a visually engaging piece that could function as a commercial concept for KARMA8A while also serving as a platform for creative exploration. Through this project,

I sought to refine my skills in combining 3D animation with 2D frame-by-frame elements, experiment with different visual treatments, and strengthen my ability to build a cohesive narrative from concept to final execution.

At the same time, the project allowed me to merge personal passion with professional practice, demonstrating how motion design can communicate both brand identity and personal expression.

For the branding of Saucony Social Club, the goal was to create a cohesive graphic system that works across posters, social content, motion, merch, and sticker graphics. This concept explores a bold and energetic visual identity blending movement, youth culture, and digital aesthetics. Merging styles such as Rave, Brutalist and Urban Tech.
